The IP systems installed on board of rolling stock that use Videocameras, are comply with the latest generation standard regarding compression technology, called H265<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The high degree of image compression allows to reach a higher degree of recording capacity that was not conceivable some time ago.<\/p>\n

The recent modules dedicated to memories, are able to make available a memory space of 40 TByte<\/strong> in a single device.<\/p>\n

Clearly, the longer or shorter storage time for images will depend on the resolution of the images, the frame rate and the amount of Videocameras installed in the system.<\/p>\n

Video Surveillance Systems<\/span><\/h3>\n

Video surveillance systems are usually composed of a good quantity of Videocameras, located along the corridor, in the vestibules and near the doors.<\/p>\n

In general the cameras are connected to a switch that can be integrated into the Multimedia Recorder, or it can be external and connected to the Recorder through only one ETH connection.<\/p>\n

This decision also depends on whether the vehicle is type fixe composition (coaches cannot be disconnected between them) or the carriages are combined differently. In the second case, the choice of having a Multimedia Serverfor each carriage is obviously better.<\/p>\n

The Track View system is usually composed by:<\/p>\n

2 internal Videocmeras (or external according to the requirement) positioned in each of the two heads of the train;<\/p>\n

a Multimedia Recorder with a certified system in order to assume validity in the event of accident;<\/p>\n

the Multimedia Recorder connected to a dedicated monitor or shared with other information.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the use of this system is to have a proof that , in case it would be necessary, the driver has not chances to act in a different and best way to the occurrence of a dangerous situation, for the safety of passengers and the vehicle.<\/p>\n
